I am 23 years old and have a full set of hair, but this area of my head has been bothering me. It splits at the back in a line and looks like an ugly bald spot. Is there a solution? I've been trying to cover it with make up, please help!
Answer: Why does my hair part like this? You may want to see your dermatologist. If the hair parts like this just because that’s your normal, there is not much that can be done although your choice of shampoo and general scalp health might make a difference in these cases. If your hair parts like this due to early androgenetic type hair loss (or some other hair issue), there may be strategies to stop the process from getting worse or even thicken it up. I would encourage you to visit your dermatologist and review the area up close.

Answer: Is the hair parting normal? Hello, Dr. George Abrahamian here from LA FUE Hair Clinic in Pasadena, CA. Based on the photo shared, it looks like a normal part of the hair, where the hair naturally grows in different directions. The main questions to ask yourself is whether this is new, is it worsening or it has always been there. If it has always been there then there isn't much to do, as it is normal for hair to grow in different directions creating a part. If it is new, or worsening, then the best course of action would be to speak to your dermatologist to see what may be causing it, and what interventions may be in your best interest. I hope this helps!

Answer: Hair parting in back of head Hello and thank you for your question. More than likely its just how your hair is and probably not much you can do. You might want to see a dermatologist to see if there is something brewing or if everything looks ok. Best wishes. Dr. T

Answer: Hair thinning If there is an isolated area of hair thinning you could apply topical minoxidil as well as inject PRP into the area. Alternatively, you could part your hair in a different manner so that the scalp would not be visible.
