I had a hair transplant with Dr. George back on December 6, 2022, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We did 2,800 grafts for Zones 1 and 2, along with PRP and stem cells, and the results have been nothing short of incredible. From the start, Dr. George was great. He took the time to really explain the procedure, answer all my questions, and set the right expectations. I never felt rushed or like I was just another patient. You could tell he genuinely cared about getting it right. The day of the procedure, I was a bit nervous, but the whole team was awesome. They made sure I was comfortable and kept things light, which helped a lot. His staff are super friendly, genuine people. The procedure itself was way less painful than I expected, and I think that’s a credit to Dr. George’s skill and technique. After the procedure, they gave me detailed instructions on how to take care of everything, and the follow-up was top-notch. Dr. George’s was personally always available if I had any questions. Phone calls and texts were answered immediately and I peppered him with questions, not just in the following days after the procedure but for months! “Hey Doc, I found a new dot on my head, is that normal?” “Hey Doc, I think I was in the sun too long today, am I going to lose my new grafts?” You get the point. Now, nearly two years later, I’m still thrilled with the results. My hairline looks natural and full, and it’s given me a huge boost in confidence that honestly, I didn’t fully know how much I needed. Dr. George isn’t just a great surgeon—he’s got an eye for this stuff. He knew exactly how to create a hairline that suits my face and looks completely natural. I’m not kidding when I say that he spent a good 20 minutes drawing out, erasing and then drawing out again my new hairline. I’m really thankful for his expertise and how he handled everything. I give the same advice to everyone: do it now. The earlier/younger you are the better. I don’t care if you have to put it on a credit card. You will enjoy it more than you can imagine. If you’re thinking about getting a hair transplant, I can’t recommend Dr. George enough. He’s professional, talented, and really cares about his patients. This whole experience has been life-changing for me, and I’m so glad I trusted Dr. George with it.
I had the best experience possible!! I was experiencing extreme hair loss and thinning, along with breakage, and the PRP treatment with stem cells/exosomes has helped improve my hair growth immensely. My hair is thinning less and I now my hair is growing instead of thinning, reversing the hair loss.6 months later and I can see such a huge difference in the amount of hair loss, and even family and friends have commented on the growth of my hair. I was not expecting the results to be as visible as they were after just one treatment, and am extremely happy that it has worked. The procedure was very quick and very minimally painful, and although I was nervous the entire process was so worth it and the results can not be compared to anything else!
I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Abrahamian for my hair transplant procedure. From our initial consultation, Dr. Abrahamian was honest and transparent, taking the time to educate me on both surgical and non-surgical options in great detail. Unlike some practitioners, Dr. Abrahamian never pressured me into choosing aggressive treatments and genuinely prioritized my best interests. It has been around seven months since I had the procedure (see attached photos) and the results have been outstanding. I highly recommend Dr. Abrahamian for anyone considering a hair transplant!
During my time with Dr. Abrahamian I was treated exceptionally well. From the very first consultation over the phone to scheduling and meeting him and his staff in person. The process was explained in great detail, his staff was perfectly cordial and welcoming and I had no anxiety the day of the procedure because I knew I was in great hands. I felt like he really tailored the process to best fit my personal needs to get the best results. He listened to my concerns and reassured me all along the way. During the transplant procedure he took time to explain what the next step would be and he consistently checked to make sure I was comfortable throughout the process. I also elected to receive PRP treatments as an addition to increase the success and give me the best results. This whole experience was in fact, the easiest cosmetic procedure I had ever gotten. The after care was something I was worried about and his staff did a fantastic job of explaining everything I would need to know to get the best results possible after the transplant. I followed their advice and recommendations consistently and 1 year later I couldn’t be happier with my results. My hair volume has increased substantially in zones 1 and 2. It is such a perfectly natural look. I’ve gotten so many compliments already on how great my hair looks. I’ve gained so much more confidence and can finally present my best self to the world and I couldn’t be happier. Even a year later Dr. Abrahamian continues to be a great resource to me. He even gave me his personal cell phone number and is available any time for questions. I couldn’t recommend LA FUE Hair Clinic enough. They are truly at the top of what they do.
Dr. George is one of a kind in hair restoration. He truly cares about his patients and want them achieve their goal. He is very transparent in the procedure and explains every single step which makes the patient very comfortable. He was with me from 0 to 100 in my hair restoration journey. With his magic, I got my full head of hair back. I cannot be more grateful. I strongly recommend Dr. George to anyone who cares about high quality results. I cannot be more grateful! Thanks Dr. George!
Leaving this review in hopes that anyone who reads it knows that this is THE PREMIER clinic to get your hair transplant! I met with Dr. George Abrahamian in 2021 for my initial consultation. At the time, I had been experiencing hair loss for approximately 10 years and had no idea what to do about any of it. From the moment I called LA FUE Hair Clinic for the first time, Dr. George and his staff have been nothing but spectacular. My consultation was with Dr. George, not a salesperson who tried to sell me on products and procedures. He spent a full hour going through all of my options in detail, what it means for me not only in the immediate future, but long term as well. He explained to me in detail the importance of options like minoxidil and finasteride, he cleared up many of the misconceptions I had about hair loss. He, to this day, has made himself available to answer any questions I may have. Dr. George recommended I hold off on having a transplant initially. He wanted to see what my response to minoxidil and finasteride would be, since I had a strong history of hair loss on both sides of my family. He did not want me to have a hair transplant, only to regret it years down the road if I continue to have aggressive hair loss (since my brother and dad have lost almost all their hair). What I loved is that I did not feel like I was being sold a product or service, it felt more like he genuinely cared about my outcome, and that he was giving me clear goals and unbiased advice. He even encouraged me to have other consultations to get multiple opinions on my hair loss, but I eventually came back to Dr. George, as I felt like he gave me the most realistic and honest opinion on my situation. I started to use minoxidil and finasteride and my hair loss slowed down, and I even gained some hair back! Fast forward a year later, where I had a second consultation with Dr. George. He compared the photos he took from the year before, to the photos he took at the second consultation, and there was a clear improvement! Thats when I knew it was time for the hair transplant. Dr. George recommended 3200 grafts to restore my hairline and the front half of my scalp. The cost was an important consideration for me, and LA FUE’s price was competitive, but the results I saw from them were the best I had researched. Some of the other clinics I consulted with were charging anywhere from 3-12 dollars per graft, but didn’t have results anywhere near the results Dr. George had, despite many of these clinics charging far more than LA FUE. I was extremely nervous the morning of the procedure, and Dr. George and his staff were very understanding. They walked me through every single step through the whole day. They provided me with comfortable pajamas to wear, a delicious lunch, everyone was extremely kind and attentive to me and my needs, they even allowed me to choose the music, and later on in the day what to watch on TV. They provided juice, water, and snacks throughout the day, and even offered a blanket if I got cold. The procedure itself was very smooth, and the day flew by for me. I napped for much of the procedure, it was like a relaxing spa day (with a few needles, maybe a total of 5 minutes of discomfort from numbing injections). Dr. George spent over an hour designing my hairline, until we both loved the way that it looked. He even offered me complimentary PRP! I did not expect him to be so kind, with such great bedside manner. Once the day was over, I assumed that I would not have much contact with Dr. George, save for any follow ups with him, but I was wrong. He gave me his direct cell number and actively encouraged me to call or text him with any questions or concerns I had, which I inevitably did. He responded enthusiastically, and made me feel like my questions were encouraged and welcomed. The recovery process was long, but very smooth. They provided me with all of the nutritional sprays, shampoos, oils and medications I needed for the post operative period, as well as a very comprehensive instruction manual. The day after the transplant, I went back to the clinic for a wash, and the staff showed me everything I would need to do to take care of of my grafts, to maximize the survival rate. After 6 months, I absolutely loved my results, and that was just the halfway point! Now it has been nearly 2 years since my transplant and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go with Dr. George and his team at LA FUE Hair Clinic, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. My hairline looks so natural that even my barber was blown away, saying he had never seen a hair transplant look so natural! Thanks to Dr. George, I have my confidence, and my hairline back!
Leaving this review in hopes it saves someone a lot of time and effort in researching the endless amount of doctors out there — this is the place you want to go. My older brother (43) and i (34) both got hair transplants from LA FUE in 2023 and are incredibly satisfied. I personally got 3200 grafts (2500 zone 1 and 700 zone two) as well as PRP. I interviewed several doctors in the Southern California area and the minute i met George i knew this is where i would be getting my transplant. George doesn’t sell you — he just tells you what he can and cannot do — realistic from day 1. Their operation is small but mighty & consistent. The team that worked on my brother 4 months before, were the same that operated on me. From the minute you meet the team you can tell this is a bespoke experience; everything is customized to your preferences — food, clothing, music, tv, whatever you want. As far as the transplant itself, i am 9 months post operation and i genuinely cannot be happier. I got married 3 months ago and that was essentially the impetus to the procedure — best money i ever spent. My barber says it’s the best job he’s seen, he actually got a transplant done in turkey and says my donor area is essentially scarless. Furthermore, the way my barbers face lights up every time he sees me, just makes me that much happier i did it. Biggest piece of advice i can give you (besides the recommendation to LA FUE) — don’t shop this procedure. Don’t go for the cheap option or settle. This is your hair — it can make or break you. LA FUE are not the cheapest (nor the most expensive) but when it comes to quality, like a Rolex or a Patek, you gotta pay. Again, best money i ever spent. Feel free to reach out to me and i can provide more photos or just advice — this was one of the best decisions i ever made.
When it comes to results, especially ones you have to live with for the rest of your life, LA FUE Hair Clinic really delivers. I can’t thank them enough for my transformation- NONSTOP COMPLIMENTS SINCE! I first started noticing a receding hairline in my 20s. Like everyone, I did what I could to disguise it, but it came to a point where I couldn’t hide it anymore. When you arrive for your consultation, you’re immediately greeted by a welcoming staff that makes sure you’re comfortable and even provides refreshments as you wait to see the doctor (who honors appointment times). I met with George Abrahamian MD, he was very professional and not forward pushing at all which I really appreciate. I had done quite a bit of research going into my appointment and he was very thorough in answering all my questions. He even presented me with information I hadn’t considered, making the whole process so much easier to commit to. From the moment we began the procedure, to the moment we finished, my treatment was nothing short of first class. One part I truly appreciated is the design phase, Dr Abrahamian spend his time going back and forth making sure it’s just right and most importantly that I was happy with the look. The procedure itself was painless (except for just a few moments for the numbing injections- 2-3 minutes of mild discomfort for the whole day) and they made the entire process easy and comfortable. They even provided a nice lunch to top it all off! After completing the procedure, Dr Abrahamian provided a booklet that outlines post-procedure care in detail, every medication and spray that I would need for my after procedure care, and even provided his direct cell phone number so that I could contact him with had any questions (which I did have, and he responded quickly, without making me feel like a bother, which was appreciated). Overall my procedure was about 2800 grafts along with a PRP treatment. I cannot stress how happy I am with this decision. My hairline and hair is so natural looking, I have not stopped receiving compliments on it. This is the best decision you can make and here are some photos to show you the work of the best in the industry!
Hello, Dr. George Abrahamian here from LA FUE Hair Clinic in Pasadena, CA. Generally prior to any medical procedure, it is advisable to avoid caffeine due to its effects on increasing heart rate and blood pressure, which can in turn increase bleeding during procedure. However, there is no contraindication after a PRP procedure to have coffee or caffeine. It should not impact your results in any capacity. I hope this helps.
Hello, Dr. George Abrahamian here from LA FUE Hair Clinic in Pasadena, CA. First and foremost, moles that are new, asymmetrical, with irregularly defined borders, more than one color, with a diameter more than 5mm, and has changed over time should be evaluated for melanoma. Melanoma does not cause any pattern of balding, but skin cancer in and of itself should be evaluated with urgency. Regarding the hair loss itself, if you are unsatisfied with your dermatologists approach, it is always advisable to get a second opinion. Having irritation, burning and itching to the area that is experiencing hair loss sounds indicative of something other than male/female pattern balding. It could be autoimmune, there can be a fungal infection, inflammation to the area, seborrheic dermatitis/keratosis, just to name a few. Once autoimmune, infectious or malignant causes are ruled out, intervention for the hair loss can be considered. Platelet rich plasma injections, stem cell/exosome therapy, as well as topical minoxidil are all considerations to see if the hair loss can be stabilized or reversed to some extent. I hope this helps.
Hello, Dr. George Abrahamian here from LA FUE Hair Clinic in Pasadena, CA. It is advisable to leave minoxidil on the scalp for it to be effective. If you are planning on washing your hair, wash the hair first, towel dry your head, and apply the minoxidil to the scalp after the fact. It is okay if the hair/scalp is a bit damp, this can act as a vehicle to get the minoxidil to the scalp easier, but you dont want the hair/head to be overtly wet during application. The most common side effects of minoxidil include dry, red, itchy and flaky skin on the scalp, which usually resolves as your scalp gets used to the minoxidil. There are some reports of heart palpitations, dark circles under the eyes with minoxidil use, but these are very rare, and typically occur in women, or people who are hypersensitive to minoxidil use. I hope this helps.
Hello, Dr. George Abrahamian here from LA FUE Hair Clinic in Pasadena, CA. Generally, minoxidil should me massaged into the scalp. Just applying minoxidil and leaving it be may not get to all the areas you want to target. Secondarily, if you are applying the foam version of minoxidil, it may be sticking to the hair, and not being appropriately delivered to the scalp where it needs to be in order for it to do its job. It shouldn't take more than a few moments to massage the minoxidil into your scalp, and does not have to be an involved process more than 15-30 seconds or so. Also, many people also micro needle the scalp once a week, 20-30 minutes prior to the application of minoxidil. This helps to open the pores on the scalp, which can help with minoxidil delivery to the hair follicles. Once a week micro needling is usually sufficient, as doing it multiple times per week can cause unnecessary trauma. Studies show that it can increase the efficacy of minoxidil by up to 50%. However, if you are unsure of the strategies for micro needling, the length of needle to use, the type of device, you can consult with your hair restoration specialist for a regimen most appropriate for you. I hope this helps.
Hello, Dr. George Abrahamian here from LA FUE Hair Clinic in Pasadena, CA. It depends on the extent of trauma to the area, but the vast majority of the time the area will recover, especially if it is a one time trauma. You can get a professional evaluation and see if platelet rich plasma injections or stem cell/exosome therapy can be beneficial for you as well. However, repeated trauma to the area can reduce the follicles ability to grow hair. For example, people who experience trichotillomania (pulling their own hair out constantly) can cause so much trauma to their hair follicles that hair will no longer grow in those areas. Similarly, trauma from traction can also cause alopecia, so hair should be in a relaxed state far more often than pulled in a tight bun/ponytail/braids or cornrows. I hope this helps!
