hello alitac Insurance generally do not cover cosmetic surgery, you should visit or contact your plastic surgeon about this concern. #rupture #post-op
Thank you for you questions. As a general rule, if the implants were placed for cosmetic reasons (rather than medical necessity), insurance does not cover removal or treatment of the implants or complications related to the implants. There are always exceptions to every rule however, so if you see a local board certified plastic surgeon who takes your insurance, you could always submit the procedure to your insurance for pre-approval and see what happens.Hope this helps!
Dear AlitaC,isurance does not cover esthetic procedures so it is unlikely that your insurance will cover the costs of your implant removal surgery. You can always call your insurance company and get more information. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
