As a general rule, if the implants were placed for cosmetic reasons (rather than medical necessity), insurance does not cover removal or treatment of the implants or complications related to the implants. There are always exceptions to every rule however, so if you see a local board certified plastic surgeon who takes your insurance, you could always submit the procedure to your insurance for pre-approval and see what happens.Hope this helps!
