I got 1500 grafts for my hairline. My donor area was thin and so my surgeon could not place more (1800 was what he originally wanted to do). Will taking anabolic steroids for muscle growth affect my recipient area for hairline? I understand that they can affect my non transplanted hair but how about transplanted hair?

Answer: Anabolic Steroids I have dealt with this before. Personally my suggestion is the wait until your muscle gains are over with. When we do a transplant we want to have a good idea of what the hair loss pattern is and when the steroids cause loss of native hair it can alter that. Hope that helps!

Answer: Anabolic Steroids Hello, interesting question. Taking anabolic steroids most likely will not harm your transplanted area. However, it may cause your natural hair to thin or fall out. I think you need to think about it seriously before taking the steroids and risk losing hair especially since you just had a transplant. Good luck to you.
