I had an FUE Hair Transplant 40 days ago and this is how the donor area currently looks. I had 2000 grafts transplanted. Will SMP be my only option to correct this? And is it normal for the back of my head to be red for this long? Thank you in advance
Answer: Your donor area will always look "thinner" proportionate to the number of hairs taken out after a FUE harvesting surgery. It is unlikely that your donor area is depleted. Your donor area will always look "thinner" proportionate to the number of hairs taken out after a FUE harvesting surgery. The hairs will NOT grow back from the donor area (where it was taken). If it all goes to plan the donor hairs will grow in the area it was transplanted.

Answer: 1 month post op Hello, I understand your anxiety about your donor area but I don’t think you have any worries. From what I can see it looks okay at this point. That being said it wouldn’t hurt to make a follow up appointment with your surgeon and have him check everything out for your peace of mind. Good luck.

Answer: FUE It would be unusual with 2000 FUE grafts to over-harvest the donor area unless the distribution of the extractions was concentrated in a small area
