How soon after hysterectomy can I have breast augmentation and laser assisted lipo in my stomach?

I just had a laparoscopic hysterectomy done due to ADENOMYOSIS. The surgery went fine however, I've had a catheter in me for 5 days now due to urinary retention caused by opioids (Percocet). Apparently my bladder is sensitive to this type of drug. I'm planning on having a breast augmentation and laser assisted lipo in my stomach done at the same time, in the near future. How soon should I wait to have this done?

Thank you for your question. You certainly need to make sure you heal from your first surgery before considering a second. You want to make sure that your OBG/GYN is okay with you having your next surgical procedure. This would typically be 3-6 months.

I would advise you to wait a minimum of 6 weeks after any complications from your hysterectomy have been resolved (in your case the urinary retention). You want to be at your healthiest for any elective procedure.

For breast augmentation I would say a month after your procedure should be OK as long as you have fully recovered and are 100% back to normal activity level with no restriction. As far as lipo goes, I would wait a few months to make sure any residual swelling is gone or scars are softened.

Good question.  I am fairly conservative and I would recommend waiting at least two months.  You want to go into another surgery as healthy as possible, especially an elective surgery.  Even though the hysterectomy was laparoscopic you still have a good amount of internal healing to do. Also, the same issue, urinary retention, may happen after the breast augmentation.
