My hairline is bad and I can't pull my hair back. My father has some balding in the back as well and we want to go together! I have had many issues with surgery in the past (not related to hair transplants) so I am very nervous to pick a Surgeon. I would feel more comfortable with a Dr. who only works with hair transplants. I am in Salt Lake City, Utah and would love any recommendations. I am also interested in a pricing for me and my Dad as we would be going together, and more info on recovery.

Answer: Hair Transplant in Utah Yes, we do hair transplants in Utah. We have a very busy practice with many, many transplants, definitely the most in Utah. You have kind of hit on an interesting theme, in that hair restoration is a procedure without a defined home. There are doctors who do hair that are trained in general plastics, facial plastics, dermatology and others..... In fact, in Utah there is a doctor who practices Emergency Medicine as his normal job and does hair on the side. I believe that hair restoration fits best with a facial plastics practice in that hair is an important part of overall facial aesthetics. I am the only board certified facial plastic surgeon who has completed a hair restoration (sponsored by the ISHRS) fellowship. I practice exclusively facial plastic surgery with hair as a significant, although not exclusive, focus. During the consultation, I meet with you personally and we decide the best option. Because we do so much hair, we have an expertise in all methods including FUE, FUT (strip), scalp flaps, etc.... We also have the only AAAASF certified OR where you can choose various types of sedation for your comfort and safety. We do also offer family discounts if both you and your father come together. I hope that information helps. Please go to my website for before-and-after photos, pricing and contact information.

Answer: Class 3 Based on your picture and the description of your Dad's hair loss, I believe you would both be excellent Neograft candidates. I do not exclusively perform hair transplant, as you request in your message above. I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, though, with extensive surgical experience with hair transplant, and have recently decided to pursue the Neograft procedure, as I feel it is the best at FUE/FUT. Minimal graft loss, no scar, most rapid recovery back to normal activities, and the most natural hair re-growth pattern both in the donor site and recipient site.Best.
