I've had three consultations with three different doctors and all which said I can probably only get 500 cc's to approximately 600 cc's of fat to perform a BBL. (Lipo from abdomen, love handles, & back). Is it possible that the doctors are telling me the 'minimum' of fat but I 'may' have a fair chance of getting more? I've seen many women with similar body types that have received beautiful results! I was hoping for closer to 1000 cc's. What should I do from here? Implants are not an option!
Answer: CC needed for BBL Hello and Great Question. I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure. My name is Dr. Matthew J. Nykiel. I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, and a Butt Augmentation Specialist. I think 500-600cc is a reasonable estimate. Based on your photos. I don't think you are getting much more of "true fat". Why do I say true fat? Because, if you watch videos on liposuction you see other "stuff" comes out. I.e. Water, Blood, tissue. Injecting anything other than fat will cause swelling that will simply go away. When you hear of skinny people getting over 1000cc injected per side it is 100% guaranteed that it is not true isolated fat only. Do you have other options? Yes! You can use permanent fillers that will provide volume. Why are implants not an option? Current modern day butt implants with reasonable sizes are great! If you simply don't want an implant; I understand. Then, I would point you towards lipo/fat transfer with additional filler for volume. There is no way to get you to your wish pic with lipo and fat transfer alone.Best of Luck! Please reach out if you have any further questions or concerns. Matthew J. Answer: Volume of fat in a BBL Since the fat is prepared differently from surgeon to surgeon you will get varied answers to your question. The surgeons who are injecting 1000cc's per side are often times injecting a watery, bloody solution which is not good for your long term outcome. Try not to be concerned so much with cc's being injected, you should be concerned with your final outcome and shape.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno

Answer: Candidate for a BBL? Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let them explain why one technique may be better than another. See the below link on some suggestions on finding the most qualified Plastic Surgeon for a BBL Always insist on a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: How many cc's of fat can I get for BBL? I think that you can get double that amount to each buttock, but you will have to find a board certified plastic surgeon who does this transformation for thinner patients on a daily basis.

Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift/ Fat grafting/Liposuction/ High Definition Procedures/Butt Implants I appreciate your question. I specialize in Brazilian Butt lifts and body contouring procedures. The amount of enhancement possible depends on how much fat can be harvested from your body. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery. Best of luck!
