Hello in the past I have had brow botox. I noticed one brow area bruised where as the other brow did not. Does this mean that more botox was injected into the area that bruised more or is it just due to the way the needle was inserted? Second part, if one brow raises higher then the other how soon can you go back to get more botox to even it out?
Answer: Botox review Hello and thank you for your question. It is always best to see you face to face for a consult and examination however in this case bruising is a needle hitting a small vessel so no necessarily making a difference on result. As for reviewing the botox you are best waiting 2 weeks before a review treatment. I hope that helps answer your question. Always seek an experienced and qualified medical professional for these treatments. Very best wishes

Answer: Bruising after Botox: What you need to know Hello, and thank you for your question. While bruising is a common side effect of Botox injections, it is not an indication of overdosing but rather, an effect of injuring a small blood vessel during treatment. Wait for the bruising to subside and heal and after about a week, you may receive touch-up treatments to correct your uneven brows. I highly recommend only seeking consultations and treatments from experienced, skilled injectors who know the right dosage of Botox appropriate for your needs and how to precisely inject it into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. They also know the most advanced injection techniques to ensure you safely achieve your desired results.

Answer: Brows The bruising of one brow only is in no way an indicator that one brow received more units than the other. It's simply a risk from having a needle injected. It should heal within a week or so. Some patients find taking Arnica for bruising to be helpful. If you have uneven raising of the brows you can return to your injector after two weeks for a touch up.

Answer: Botox Thank you for your question. Bruising is an indication that a small blood vessel was injured during injection, but doesn't reflect a difference in volume injected. For asymmetry, I would wait until a week after injection, and then small touch ups can be performed. All the best! -Dr. P

Answer: Botox bruising It's not uncommon to have bruising in one area and not in other areas after Botox injection. The bruising is caused by the needle coming into contact with blood vessels under the skin. If the brow's are uneven, they can be touched up and this is normally done 10-14 days after the treatment. If it is severe it may be done earlier. I recommend if there is unevenness that you let your practitioner know as early as possible so a treatment plan can be put in place. All the best to you, Dr. Nancy de Kleer
