Post Septoplasty concerns. Any suggestions?

I had septoplasty and rt turbinate reduction 4 weeks ago. Post-op checks went well. Last night, my husband went to hug and kiss me and we hit noses. My nose felt a bit sore but no bruising or increased swelling. Could this have fractured any bones or done any damage to my recent nose surgery? I find I am very anxious when it comes to my nose. I have had other facial plastic surgeries and this has been the worst post-op. Thanks for your input.

First off, whoever did your surgery is extremely fast! That's a lot to do in 3 hours.Unfortunately, if you've received no benefit after 6 months it's unlikely that significant improvements are pending. Although you should wait at least a year to judge the results you might be a candidate...

If only a septoplasty was performed then typically all the sutures will be dissolvable; usually gone within several weeks. If any tip work was done at the same time (via closed rhinoplasty approach) then it is possible longer lasting sutures were also used. You likely have...

Generally a septoplasty takes about a week to fully recover. Most swelling is internal and is not noticeable to other people. If your facial plastic surgeon used nasal grafts in during the valve repair, then there will be more external swelling. This generally subsides within 7-10 days and...
