Points that bother me: 1. Smile low 2. In the act of speaking, my upper teeth do not appear. 3. When I have my face to one side, I have a duck-like appearance, my upper lip is lifted forward. Which surgery is right for me? I do not have problem with my jaw and no small teeth. Between the base of the nose to the bow of the cupid, measures 2cm. And from the edge of the lip to the base of the nose, it measures 1.8cm.
Answer: What bothers you more Thanks for the question. I would suggest two options for you and this depends on whether you are happy with the overall size of your lips.If you are happy with the size of your lips, then carrying out a lip lift would be useful. For you, I would suggest a seagull incision above the lip rather than the bull horn below the nose. The reason for this is that if you carry out the bull horn, then your hair-bearing skin will be pulled into your nostril cavity and this cna become more irritating with shaving and constant plucking of the area. Placing the scar along the line above your lip is in a hairless area so would not be affected as much.If you do feel the lips are bigger in relation to the rest of the face, then a lip reduction would be a better option. This will reduce the overall volume of the upper and lower lips to give better proportion to the rest of your lower face. There is no reason why this can not be combined with a lift at the same time or at a different sitting once you have seen the results of the reduction.I hope this is of some help to youBW

Answer: Lip lift: Upper lip lift/Smile low/teeth do not show. Which surgery is right for me? Hello cryuquerLip lifts are minor surgical procedures that actually shorten the distance between the nose and upper lip and allow more of your central upper teeth to show both at rest and when you smile. This has sometimes been called the bullhorn procedure because of the shape.

Answer: Lip Lift A lip lift may address some of your concerns. Specifically, it would likely allow for more upper dental show at rest with mouth slightly open. On profile view, the upper lip would still appear slightly more anterior than the bottom lip which would be normal.I do not think filler would accomplish your goalsI would recommend a subnasal bull horn incisionKeep in mind that the procedure may accentuate your upper red lip which is already relatively full, as long as you are comfortable with that adjusted proportion with your lower red lip.
