Thank you for your question. As you already know, Accutane causes your skin to be extremely sensitive, so getting a chemical peel while taking it is not advisable. Not only can it cause temporary pain (like you’re experiencing) but you are more prone to getting an infection or permanent scarring. Without a picture it is difficult to tell you what to do, but what I do recommend is that you see your dermatologist and get their take on what can be done to help heal your nose. I would also think twice about going back to an aesthetic provider that would perform a chemical peel on you knowing that you are on Accutane. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. Without a picture it is hard to advise you properly. A chemical peel is a chemical based exfoliate to the skin. While on Accutane your skin is HIGHLY sensitized. It would probably be best to use something like silver ointment to help in the healing of your skin. As I am sure your dermatologist explained to you, your skin needs to be babied while you are taking Accutane. I would suggest a gentle cleanser (lotion based with no perfumes/dyes) and a moisturizer or hydrating gel that helps to reduce some of the dryness caused by being on Accutane. Keep in mind that you could scar yourself by doing harsh treatments of any kind to your skin while on Accutane. You wouldn't want to negate all that you are trying to accomplish by addressing your acne.Best wishes for clear skin

Hi. Taking Wellbutrin is not a contraindication for either procedure, but you should be aware your skin could stay red a bit longer than the average patient. Hope this information was helpful and best of luck with your treatment!
HI! I advise all my clients who have received chemical peels to NOT use any form of vitamin A derviative -> retin-a, retinol, etc. for a week after medical strength peel. It is also recommended to avoid retin-a a week BEFORE a peel. It is important to use a sunscreen anytime but especia...
