How strong is a regular hair compared to a transplanted hair?

Curious as to the strength of a transplanted hair versus a natural hair. Lets say, a transplanted hair 1.5 years post the hair transplant surgery. If the transplanted hair was tugged on, would it be as strong as a normal hair, or is the transplanted hair always weaker then a native hair?

You cannot dislodge a graft one month after surgery.  Grafts are usually secure within the first few days.

It is best to follow up with your surgeon to make sure you are cleaning your scalp and hair well.  Most of the scabs should be done after one to two weeks.

It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  You should not be considering surgery until you see the results from your surgery.  There may be exceptions to this but that is done on a case to case basis with a doctor (in person) after an examination.

If you are having issues after surgery, especially with an infection you should contact your doctor.  The Internet is not the right way to get medical diagnosis and individual medical treatment.  Steroid cream can sometimes relieve itching but too much can also be harmful.Thus it is best to fi...

It may (or may not) be possible to transplant hair to a birth mark but you would need to see a doctor for a better examination to make sure you would be a candidate for surgery.
