Answer: Scalp birthmark Hello in Mumbai,Although it is hard to diagnose from the photos alone, this does not look like an ordinary "birthmark". It may be a "nevus sebaceous", which most usually presents as a hairless, raised area on the scalp, usually at birth. It can also change its appearance as you grow. There is a small possibility it can develop into other skin lesions, so you need to have it seen by a dermatologist and have a proper diagnosis made, and perhaps a biopsy. A small percentage of these can develop into a mild form of skin cancer (a basal cell carcinoma). Get it checked out first before you even think about a hair transplant.

Answer: Birth mark I would have to examine you to make sure that the birth mark is not vascular. If not, it should take to transplants very well
