I'm in my early 30s, caucasian, no children, a healthy weight and no previous surgeries. Can something be done to remove the dark bits of extra skin around the vaginal opening? I've heard varying opinions. Would this be done by a gynecologist/surgeon or could it be done by a dermatologist perhaps with laser? Thank you
Answer: Dark and extra skin around the vaginal opening Hello, these tissues that bother you can be easily removed by a gynecologist who deals with aesthetics. I wouldn't recommend dermatology. Because of you are also complaining about excess tissue, dark areas can be removed with a small procedure. Laser or other forms of bleaching are reversible after a while.

Answer: Who does a mini labiaplasty? Your "excess skin" is normal labia minora tissue and can be removed with focal labiaplasty techniques. The best person to do it would be an expert in labiaplasty. Start your search with a virtual consultation.

Answer: Excess skin I recommend seeing a Gynecologist for any procedures related to your labia or vaginal area. The excess skin can be removed, however there is always risk of scarring and potetial pain with intercourse after the procedure.

Answer: Hyperpigmented skin folds surrounds the lower segment of the labia minora Q1: Can something be done? In your question, you do not ask about labia minora, labia majora, and clitoral prepuce reductions but simply whether your dark skin surrounding the lower segment of the labia minora be removed; but presented video by Dr. Marco Pelosi III described these multiple surgical interventions. Additionally, he illustrated by coloring the different anatomical structures; however, the posterior perineum (the crotch) is inappropriately presented since it includes the lower part of the labia minora. Yes, dark skin folds can be removed, and it is technically a simple surgical intervention and needs superficial excisions. Q2: Who can do this surgical procedure? Many specialists, such as gynecological surgeons, plastic surgeons, and dermatological surgeons, can do it successfully. With regards, Prof. Dr. Adam Ostrzenski USA
