If I have GERD does it increase my risk of infection for having breast implants?

I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, if interested, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. It is unlikely that GERD will increase the chance of infection after breast augmentation. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

Hello. GERD will surely not increase the risk of infection after breast implant. But you will have to take course of antibiotics after implant surgery. Better to visit board certified plastic surgeon and get examined. Thanks for posting your query. Hope i have cleared your doubt. All the best

Implants will not change your GI issues, but you will be placed on antibiotics for surgery. Do take probiotics as well. You might ask for liquid form so you can digest and absorb it better. You also need to be checked for food allergies.
