Hi I had SMP done 2 months ago, too much was put in and around my hairline and it looks awful, the surgeon says he can get rid of it over 3 sessions of putting pin head holes in the dots and drawing the ink out with salt water can this actually be done as i cant find anything on here or on the internet about it, he said there will be no pain or downtime after it, not sure if i trust this information from him, if i could please get some advice on this as i really need to have it removed Thank yo

You cannot remove SMP with a hole and rubbing salt water.  You may want to consult with a doctor who can offer laser tattoo removal.

The most common way to removed SMP is via laser tattoo removal.  However, there is also a technique to remove SMP with salt & saline, and using same type of needle that is used for SMP.  I would ask your provider how many they have done and how successful it has been.  Laser tattoo removal is quite successful in removing SMP.

The only real way to remove the SMP is to use a a special laser which will limit the depth to less that 1mm.  This is very effective. By this time, the SMP pigment is ingrained in the dermis.
