Indentation (crease in compression garment) Am I right to worry or will this be fine in my long term result? (photo)

Question

I've just come out of surgery today and now back home, everything went well but I'm worried about this crease in my garnent. Please note there is padding above and below this crease which is probably why it's indented but I am really worried this indent could cause a permanent crease in my skin. I keep trying to pull this straight because I can't relax.  Would really appreciate any advice.

I suggest speaking to your physician. I have a very specific compression that we have made for our patients, its double compression and you wear it for 2-4 weeks for tightening in this area. Also, I suggest adding RF treatments (Venus Legacy, Exilis, Ultra, Vanquish) along with shock/vibration therapy Cellutone/z wave and hyperbaric oxygen in order to decrease swelling and improve final results. Best, Dr. Emer.

Indentations and #lumps should be diminish with time and self-massage may help. If not, your doctor can provide suggestions for this concern. In-office medi-spa treatments may be an option. But, it's best to be patient in the meantime. Also, iIt's very possible that you are experiencing some #swelling, which is not uncommon following #vaser liposuction. Gentle #walking may increase circulation and help to alleviate swelling. But you must not strain or push yourself. Also, if you were provided a post-procedure #garment, be sure you are wearing it until prescribed otherwise by your doctor. The purpose of the post-procedure #garment is to provide some gentle #support and to reduce swelling. If it feels too tight or causes pain, take it off. Many patients wear the #elastic garment for several weeks after procedures, as directed by their doctor; some choose to wear it longer for several months for comfort.The final results of the procedure are typically most noticeable 2-4 months following the #Vaser. So, you must have patience. The swelling will gradually diminish while the contours of the treated area(s) can continue to improve up to one year post procedure; becoming more apparent in appearance. If you have concerns about your healing, or pain that you question to be unusual, it is important to call your plastic surgeon to discuss these further asked to be examined.

I'm not sure how worrying about this helps you. I suggest discussing your concern with your treating surgeon since he or she is the one managing you and its only one day after surgery.
