I always did not have a perfect jawline, and I lost and gained little weight a lot. Nothing very significant though. My bmi is normal but my neck bothers me with the fat. I naturally have chubby cheeks but I want to reduce them a bit with the neck fat, to have a clear jaw line and clear neck line. I was looking for a non surgical procedure that will give me good permanent results, and i came across those injections. Not sure if the procedure is worth it?
Answer: Double chin treatment Non-surgical treatment of sub mental fat or "double-chin" can be performed with Kybella (deoxycholic acid) injections. It is only approved for sub mental fat, not face fat. Its the old mesotherapy that has very questionable history and in my opinion should never have been approved by FDA but it is and we will likely be dealing with its complications and consequences for years to come.

Answer: Treatments to get better difined jaw line and neck to jaw angle Thank you for your question.Injection lipolysis works but rather slow and can take months to get a slight reduction and each time face swells up and might be tender.Better option to have micro-liposuction for double chin and jowl are and tighten /support skin with special pulling threads, so called Mini-face lift. It is done as a day case procedure and can give a crispy jaw line for many years and even can be re-tightened (maintenance MFL) in future.

Answer: I heard there are injections that can reduce facial fat (for neck and cheeks), what are they called and is it a good treatment? Hi, these are from a company called Kythera and are a series of injections to dissolve fat below the chin. I have performed fat removal from the face and neck using liposuction for many years and this would be quicker (one treatment) and more effective (remove far more fat) than the injections. Based upon the aesthetic principles outlined in my book on face and body beauty women look the most attractive when they have heart shaped faces. Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round anteriorly. Cheek augmentation with a dermal filler (I prefer sty lane Lyft) or using cheek implants for a permanent enhancement can create full, round cheeks in the front that will feminize the entire face. If there is excess fat in the face, liposuction can reduce this for further shaping of the cheek area. If you have excess fat in the neck, this can be due to a weak chin. A weak chin creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger and the mid face look top heavy. Chin augmentation, with a dermal filler (I prefer Restylane Lyft) or using a chin implant for a permanent enhancement will create harmony and balance to the lower face. Women do not need or look more attractive with a oprominent jaw line as this creates angularity in the face which is a male beauty trait.
