Has anyone on here heard of a new facial filler called Prophilo please?

Profhilo is a new patented variation of dermal filer that is made differently using thermal treatment and has a different molecular formula. It contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid and is being marketed as being useful in the treatment of skin laxity. 

Both myself and colleagues in London have had varied results but I have seen some impressive improvements in areas treated such as the neck. I have heard that longevity is not great. 

I would suggest a consultation with a suitably experienced practitioner who has lots of before and afters.

Thank you for your question about Profhilo, which is a product used for 'deep hydration' to improve tissue quality and achieve skin tightening.  It was developed in conjunction with a University in Italy and released into the UK in 2016.  Profhilo has won numerous awards, including the 2016 Aesthetics Award for Product Innovation of the Year and the Award for the Best Injectable Product in Europe at the Aesthetic Industry Awards 2018.    
It is a Hyaluronic Acid based remodelling product that offers a high level of hydration and triggers collagen and elastin production.  It can therefore be thought of as a step ahead of traditional fillers and has been described as 'scaffolding for the skin' due to the lifting effect it achieves, as it works with the body to stimulate collagen and elastin production.  The product can flow through the subcutaneous tissue, meaning that previously hard to reach places can now be treated.  Other benefits include lower number of injection points, results that are maintained over a longer period and a shorter treatment time.  It is popular for use on the face but it can also be used to achieve skin tightening on the neck and inner upper arms.  It typically requires 2 initial treatments spaced one month apart.  I hope that this has been helpful and best wishes with your results should you decide to go ahead with Profhilo treatment.  With my best wishes.
