Enlarged stomach 10 days post gynaecomastia surgery?

Forgive me if this seems absurd but i am 10 days post op (Vaser lipo with gland removal) and whilst the swelling / bruising is up & down on the chest area, I'm convinced that in the last couple of days my stomach appears considerably larger. Since op, I have cut out all fatty foods, have not required the use of pain killers (until now) and I don't see how the full length vest, which i wear all the time, although uncomfortable, would cause this. A surgery /anesthesia side effect? Something else?

Hi, 10 days is too soon to tell because some swelling and bruising may persist for 6-8 weeks. It varies greatly between patients. Final #results can usually be seen 2-4 months later as the swelling continues to diminish and contours become more defined, but improvement will continue for 4–6 months as swelling and irregularities resolve. These contours can even improve throughout the year after surgery.

The most common cause of the abdomen looking larger after treatment of gynecomastia is that your abdomen "looks" larger because your chest is smaller. This is something I always tell patients who have a rather large chest and a full abdomen. There will be an imbalance or disproportion between the abdomen and chest. This is why patients with a large abdomen need to lose weight before treatment so there is a better balance.
If it's not that, it may be constipation from pain medications. Anesthesia doesn't usually cause a problem. Ask the doctor who treated your gynecomastia.
