I am currently a 34A. I am having my operation in 4 weeks. I have currently opted for 345cc - the wider flatter option ones as I am broad backed. I am 180cm and 71kg (I am into my fitness so slim frame just muscular) I am now looking at pictures and wondering if I should opt bigger, I want the end result to be around a D?? But it is seeming to me that 345 is almost certainly no bigger than a C? I don't want to feel after all of this I should've gone bigger?

Answer: Implant selection Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. The size, profile, and shape of the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall measurements, and soft tissue quality. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Answer: Is there a clear difference between 345cc and 385cc?? The general answer to your question is that a 40 cc difference may not only be somewhat noticeable, but enough to give you excess roundness and upper pole fullness if you lack adequate skin and breast tissue distensibility to accept that size. I would also be concerned for the average patient trying to go from an A cup to a D cup unless you've had pregnancies and have adequate loose and distensible skin. Bring photos of your goal "look" for your surgeon and allow him/her to use test implants called sizers during the surgery to tailor your final implant selection to match your goals based on the actual outcome as seen during the procedure. I personally avoid choosing just one implant size before the procedure and being locked into that size despite how my patient looks during the surgery. Set your priority for size vs. shape to give your surgeon guidance as to your goals.
