Hi, I had botox around 3 weeks ago and ever since i have had major problems with my vision. My eyes are so blurry and i cant seem to focus on anything plus i have black lines and dot floaters constantly? Its really getting me down as its not getting any better. I have been to get my eyes tested and everything came back normal - its worrying me as I always have perfect vision. How long does it take to go away? Any help would be appreciated!
Answer: Does Botox cause eye blurriness/double vision? Thank you for your very important question. Double vision is a rare but possible complication of Botox injections. Typically, it will resolve when the Botox wears off in 3-4 months. However, I recommend you see an ophthalmologist and your injecting physician as soon as possible.

Answer: Does Botox cause severe eye blurriness/double vision and eye floaters? HELP! Hello Brog4421,Botox in very rare circumstances can cause double vision. This would not be when you are looking straight, but rather if you were looking in one direction. Again, this is exceedingly rare when proper techniques are used. However, you mentioned floaters. Botox would not cause this. Because of this, I'd recommend you see your eye doctor ASAP. This sudden constellation of symptoms can represent a retinal detachment and needs to be evaluated. You can also discuss this with your injector, but I would see your eye specialist immediately. I hope this helps and good luck.

Answer: Black lines, floaters and double vision after Botox You said you have had your eyes checked. Double vision can sometimes occur after Botox, but your symptoms are concerning. You need to be checked out by a specialist, preferably MD, and have a dilated retinal exam to rule out other causes of these symptoms.

Answer: Botox and vision complications Sorry to hear of your troubles after getting Botox. Double vision is a rare complication of Botox injections around the eye. Seeing two objects when there is one will likely make your vision blurred as well. This is more likely to happen in a certain direction of the vision, when the muscle around the eye, that is paralyzed, has to function. Blurred vision from problem focusing inside the eye ball (like a camera), from one eye, can also happen but is exceedingly rare in Botox cosmetic use around the eye. Floaters and black lines should not be a part of botox effects. It seems like you have seen an optometrist. I think you should see an ophthalmologist to rule out any sinister causes that can happen coincidentally. Once any other causes are ruled out the effects of Botox should improve in a few weeks to a few months.
