Question

Well I asked about the small mark left when in actual fact it seems I had a much larger issue to deal with ... I'm currently admitted to my local hospital under the Plastics ward .. I'm on iv antibiotics and theater has been prepared just in case they don't work ... I simply thought the pain and swelling I was experiencing was normal for sub muscular implants ... After noticing the pain factor go from a 3 to a 8 I went to my local clinic He rushed me to here advising I have cellulitis. I'm 11po

I'm sorry to hear about your cellulitis. It seems that your surgeon is doing all the right things. Hopefully you will not need to go to the operating room.  Stay in close contact with your surgeon. It is imperative
that you seek the advice of a plastic surgeon who is certified by the American

Sorry to hear about your cellulitis. In our practice, if you did not have rapid resolution of cellulitis (or at least improvement in 24 hours) we would take you to surgery and wash out the pocket, culture it and determine whether the iplant is salvageable. In some cases the implant needs to be removed for a few months before being able to replace it.  Hang in there.  Best wishes,
