How can i get a More prominent epicanthal fold? (photo)

Question

My left eye (right in the picture) is more prominent than my right eye (left in the picture) this makes my eyes look uneven and I'd rather have two epicanthal folds than one and a half. I've heard lack of sleep can make them uneven, is this true? Because i haven't been sleeping well. If not, are there any exercises/ procedures that will make them more prominent on the right eye?

Hello there,in in your photo, we can appreciate the asymmetry of the epicanthic folds as well as other facial characteristics. We all have minor facial asymmetries related to our underlying bony anatomy and soft tissue envelope. Epicanhal folds are delicate structures and surgery on them directly must always be considered very carefully due to their unforgiving nature. Indirect approaches are often better than direct approaches. Fillers can be used across the nasal bridge to improve symmetry by 3-dimensionally contouting tissues near the fold. Also, surgical brow and eyelid techniques can also manipulate the fold indirectly to improve symmetry. i would suggest you visit with a urge on that is very experienced in eyelid surgery to discuss these options at an in-person consultation.  Good luck

Sounds like you aren't sleeping well and stressing over even the little things.  I wouldn't recommend any surgery.  Maybe you should visit your primary care for a check up if you are fatigued and not sleeping.  Monitor your health first.Chase Lay MD
