Will puckering of mammary fold go away? I'm 14 days post op breast reduction. (photos)

Question

14 days past breast reduction and have some quite deep puckering of the mammary fold in my cleavage area on one side. My PS said this will go away but after much research I am not so convinced. Is this something that will go away with massafe etc? My left breast is perfect but the right there is a clear tight area with a fold of skin below. (Ignore the redness, was a reaction to the tape and is fine now!)

Hi,
Puckering can be very common depending on the technique used by your surgeon. If they have reassured you that it will improve I would give them the benefit of the doubt at this stage as they know exactly what they have done. It can take up to 6 months for this to improve.

Congratulations on your breast reduction, hayleyxchaos!
It’s still too early to see the final results of your surgery, so be patient as you recover. Wait until around six months post-op to see if there’s any improvement. 
You can ask your plastic surgeon about breast massage and when you can start them.

Thanks you for your question and raising your concerns. It is pretty common to have some skin distortion in the first few months after any surgery. Be patient sna things generally settle.
