Age 55, 1 year post neck & lower facelift - Sofwave for under eye firming for minor bags? (Photo)

Hi- I'm 55 and had a neck and lower face lift a year ago. I've been reading about Sofwave and wondering if it's enough to tighten under eye skin to help camouflage minor bags. I had a pinch skin bleph with my neck lift surgery but I feel my eyes look worse now. Have tried filler and it's migrated . Have tried with 2 pros. Dermatologist and plastic surgeon. Ended up dissolving both times. Really don't want to do surgery again. My skin is great and wrinkles are minimal.

The upper cheek region is a major support for the under-eye area. When there is a volume deficit there, bags and tear troughs inevitably form. So, before jumping to treating the bags directly with fillers, whiich was likely done and likely the cause of the undesirable results, it would be wise to consult a board certified cosmetic dermatologist to discuss the use an appropriately robust HA filler for the upper cheeks, which, if injected properly should help to significantly diminish the appearance of the under eye bags. I literally treated two patients in this way just this afternoon for precisely this problem.  Fat grafting under the eyes carries the risk of lumps and bumps that can be very difficult to treat., as one Realselfer who posted very recently unfortunately learned the hard way,  And certainly other permanent fillers should be avoided, as well, as complications from these may occur not just immediately following treatment, but as many as five, ten or twenty+ years later. Thanks for your question. Yes, Sofwave is an excellent option to both smooth and tighten the skin in the delicate under eye region. The only downtime we see is occasionally some puffiness that could last a few days. It will not have an effect on the under eye fat pad (The fat pad we are able to shrink with AGNES RF, which we will sometimes do in combination with our under eye Sofwave clients if they need/desire fat pad reduction.) I'd suggest you start with the Sofwave alone- you may need 2 or 3 sessions but the results would be very long lasting, easy to maintain. I hope that helps!

The single best way to make the face look younger is by means of fat grafting. Fat grafting restores natural volume and integrity of the skin. when an experienced plastic surgeon performs fat grafting to the face,  the face should look natural and with practically permanent results while making the individual look just like themselves from 20 years prior to the procedure.
