Hi, I'm seeing some sagging around the mouth and neck area and was reading about Softwave. Does it require more than one treatment and how long are you noticing it lasts. Thank you!
Answer: Sofwave Number of Sessions Thanks for your excellent question! Each Sofwave session will produce a very significant amount of collagen with little to no downtime which is so wonderful. The number of sessions recommended will depend on a few factors. he most important is how much collagen and skin laxity is there to start with? Older clients or those with more sun damage are more likely to need additional sessions in order to achieve the desired results. On the other hand, a 35 year old is more likely to do just fine with a single session. In your early 50's with "mild sagging" you might do just fine with one session- you could wait 3 months to see what you think (because 6 weeks is not showing you your full result), then decide whether to do a second session. Timing of maintenance will also vary according to age and lifestyle. It's perfectly fine to do it yearly so that you are less likely to see the return of fine lines and laxity. However, a 35 year old may find s/he can go 2 years or more before repeating it. Using excellent skin care and being careful about sun exposure will also extend the duration of results. I hope that helps!

Answer: For Facial Rejuvenation, Think Tried & True Fillers Instead Of Faddish, Expensive, Energy-Based Devices Sound wave devices, much like RF & fraxel laser devices are relatively expensive "bells and whistles" whose claims to being the "next big thing" are predicated far more on marketing hype than hard science. So, a healthy dose of "buyer beware" is in order when doing your research on these.. On the other hand, the use of an appropriately robust HA filler can both recontour the cheeks, if necessary to create a more feminine, heart-shaped appearance, treat smile lines, as well as to better define and straighten jowls along the jawline, and help to tighten the neck. And what's more, the results of the apprpriate choice of fillers for the face are immediate, typically elicit an immediate "Wow!" reaction, and engender little to no significant post-treatment downtime. Just make sure to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist and best of luck.
