I'm unhappy with Botox. How can I decrease the impact and quicken its wear off?

Botox results last up to 3 to 4 months and can be softened with Venus Legacy and Thermage treatments. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are injectable medications designed to improve facial wrinkles.  Relaxing the muscles results in a smoother appearance of the overlying skin. Over time, your body generates new nerve terminals that allow the transmission of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and result in return of muscle function. This is why neuromodulators last for 3-4 months in most patients.  There is no way to speed up the effects of neuromodulators with other procedures like radiofrequency.  In most cases, small asymmetries or negative effects will slowly wear off as the effects of the Botox weaken. Be sure to always discuss any post-procedural concerns with the injector.

Hi. Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there is no anti dote for Botox. Within 3-4 month, all effect will wear off.

unfortunately those who are unhappy with Botox usually have to wait for the 3-4 months for it to wear off as no laser device or radiofrequency treatment deactivates Botox.Some people have asymmetric results and further treatment on the less affected side can make the smile more equal. There is not a method to make Botox wear off faster than usual.  Results can last several months, but since it has only been 2 weeks since your treatment, it is still possible that your smile will improve soon.  Sometimes, there may be some unwanted weakening in muscles that improves just over a few weeks.  I would just give it some more time and your appearance will improve. 

I’m sorry to hear that your injection did not go the way you had hoped, and unfortunately, there is no way to dissolve or reverse Botox once it has been injected.  That being said, the effects are not permanent and should fade within 4-6 months.  

Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin lock the release of a chemical called acetylcholine, which triggers the muscle contractions that create wrinkles. Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin essentially paralyze the muscles and stops them from contracting. Results from these treatments are visible within 3-7 days with results that can last anywhere from 3-4 months. Unfortunately there is no way to speed up the results of Botox. Hope this helps.

I'm sorry you are unhappy with your Botox treatment.  Unfortunately there is no way to reverse its effects.  It will gradually wear off over the next 3-4 months.  You may want to return to your injector to discuss the aspects of your results that make you unhappy.  Perhaps there is something more that can remedy your concerns
