Is surgery for an antral wall collapse in maxillary sinus worth?

To be honest I am having a hard time understanding your problem. Other than an empty nose syndrome which causes too much dryness I can't imagine a reason why one would want to narrow the maxillary sinus opening. If the opening is too large then dry ulcers can form on the back wall of the sinus and can cause maxillary pain. It would help more to know what your symptoms are and if there are any scans to review. One reason for excessive drainage from the maxillary sinus after surgery is if the surgically created opening is separate from the natural opening. In that case secretions exit the natural opening into the nose then fall back into the sinus. The best treatment is not to plug the opening but to communicate them by removing the tissue that separates them
