Question

For 10 weeks post op does my breast argumentation look normal? I had under muscle, saline implants. 500 ccs. I was a 38 C before surgery. My left side is very perky ,big and hard.. but my right side is very soft and way smaller than my left. Is it normal? Will it get as big as my left?

Your breast are very asymmetric. This will likely not improve with time. Without seeing your before picture it is hard to guess what may be going on. The best thing would be to go see your plastic surgeons as there is far too much asymmetry present to be normal.

It does appear in the photos that the left breast looks fuller.  You should discuss with your PS.  Was there asymmetry preop?  Were the same size implants placed? Has the swelling developed since surgery?  Often, there is perceived asymmetry in the early post op period, but your PS will know your situation better.

Thank you for your question and photographs.  My advice is to wait a full 4-6 months before considering the final result of your breast augmentation.  During this time, implants do settle and swelling subsides.  Your photograph and description is normal for this stage of the healing process.  Best of luck.

The most important question is: does the right breast look like it did before surgery. If yes, then you likely have a deflation on the right. If the right side looks like it should, then you may have a collection of blood or fluid around the left implant.I would recommend that you see your Plastic Surgeon for an in-person assessment.

From your photos, you look extremely asymmetrical. It would be helpful to see pre surgical photos and also if this is a recent development or if they have looked this way since surgery.I would be concerned that you had a complete or partial deflation on the smaller side or perhaps a hematoma or seroma on the larger side. Hi,
It looks like the left implant is sitting higher. This is probably due to the fact that with a sub muscular augment the implants always tend to sit a bit higher. I usually tend to tell patients to wait 4 - 6 months for a final result. I would suggest starting exercises to displace the implant down. You could also wear a band over the upper pole of the breast to gently push the implant down.

It is always helpful to have a pre-op photo to compare to your results. This helps determine if there was any assymetry prior to your surgery. If your right breast was smaller than your left breast prior to surgery it will not catch up in size to your left breast if the same size implants were used in your surgery. You should follow up with your surgeon so he/she can address your concerns. Best wishes!
