It is ok to rub the scraps on the 11th day after hair transplant?

Washing your hair after a hair transplantation is an important step for restoration.  We usually have our patients start spraying hair with lactated ringers with liposomal ATP as well as other growth factors twice a day to help your hair process start ASAP.  Actual hair washing usually takes place several days after the procedure.  There are several advantages to this approach:

If you trusted your doctor and your nurse for your surgery, why do you doubt them now?  If you are looking for some reassurance, it is best to ask your doctor.  Your grafts may be fine, but the Internet may leave you with conflicting answers and lead to more confusion.

It is always best to leave any scabs to fall off on their own and not to pick, rub or scratch them off at any time. Ideally they would fall with very gentle washing or a fine mist sprayed over them, but washing the head vigorously to remove them on the 11th day doesn't sound OK as this could dislodge or remove a grafted hair from its recipient site and as a result it wont grow leaving a poor result.

Scabs when they from after transplant communicate with the follicle transplanted in to site.  If you pick or pull at them, you can easily dislodge the follicle.  Instead try to wash gently to prevent them from forming and if they do form to slowly dissolve them over time. 

This is an absolutely No No. The crusts should have been washed off before they form. I wrote a medical article on this very subject and showed that if the crusts are rubbed off or picked off after a hair transplant, the grafts will be rmoved with them and you will lose the grafts that come out.
