I had resurfx yesterday and regret it. It left laser track marks and blister on muyface/chest. Is this permanent? (Photo)

Question

I am afraid of perm scaring from the laser track marks of the resurfx I had done yesterday. It is a prestigious dermatology clinic and the tech did several passes on sides of face and chest. I was told its good for the pock marks on chin and pigmentation. My neck and chest was fine but included it for the price. What can I do? I see tiny holes and my skin feels like leather. I also had a blister besides track marks.

Resurfx is a safe treatment that works well for pitted scars, and overall resurfacing. It does appear to cause small impression on the skin in a pattern and some areas will look more than the others.  All of this should improve in the next few days.  Sometimes you may get a blister, but these too will heal soon.Going over scars 2-3 times or passes is not uncommon.

Hi _Ny1977,While ResurFx is supposed to be non-ablative, reactions like yours are not uncommon. ResurFx will encourage the growth of new collagen and your skin's condition will improve in a week or two. Please see your doctor so the right ointment can be used for your blisters or infection.
