At least from the photos provided, the Indented, post-surgical scar appears to have a sufficiently broad base to allow for the use of simple, relatively inexpensive subcision to elevate and smooth it. Subcision, which I have been routinely performing since 1995 for all kinds of Indented scars, from all causes, in all skin types, has a several decades' long track record for safety and efficacy. The same cannot be said for so many of the expensive, "here-today-gone-tomorrow," light and energybased gizmos whose hard science to support their use lags well behind the heavy marketing hype and social media buzz to promote them So, you are quite correct to be exercising "buyer beware" caution when it comes to the fraxel laser treatment. You would be wise to make sure to consult an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist scar treatment specialist. Best of luck.

This scar is from a Bilobe flap which is typically used to repair a defect from a skin cancer removal. In my opinion, this scar needs both C02 and some filler to restore the normal contour. Resurfx will be a disappointment. Resurfx is better at rejuvenation and pore size reduction, but will not re-contour the nose.
