I would just like to know what doctors think of the ResurFX procedure. Do you think it is a procedure that really works?

Resurfx is the newest introduction by Lumenis to target skin and do skin resurfacing by what is known as non-ablative fractional resurfacing. It essentially drills very targeted and controlled holes in a computer generated pattern in the deeper layer of the skin called the dermis. It spares the surface of the skin and does not cause sloughing or peeling etc.The concept is a great one and the results are also very good. It is not a system where you will see instantaneous results. The injury created in the deep layers of the skin has to heal and that takes time.  But over time, the skin does improve and tighten and soften and pores and scars and also stretch marks improve.I generally perform a series of 3 treatment every 8 weeks or so to get patients corrected as much as possible. After that, i do treatment a couple of times a year.So, it is effective.  I also often combine other laser modalities with it to target all the different problems of the skin at the same time. So now, I use a multimodal laser treatment in one session along with fillers at the same time to do a comprehensive facial rejuvenation non surgically.
