Hello and thank you for your question! It is normal to have swelling and tightness this early in your recovery. If you bloating becomes worse, or if you are concerned, please contact your surgeon to be evaluated. Best of luck!
Hi there, this question is difficult to answer. If you are feeling bloated it can be from the tumescent fluid that was used, it can also be intra abdominal. IF you doc gave your narcotics for pain and you have been using them routinely, you could potentially be experiencing side effects of the medication and being constipated. The swelling will go away, there are remedies for constipation if that is what you have. Follow up with your surgeon who performed your surgery
Swelling is typical. It can take 3-6 months for final results as swelling resolves. I suggest lymphatic massage, hyperbaric oxygen, and RF treatments like venus legacy to help reduce any swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Difficult to answer directly...is the bloating sensation superficial or deep? If it is deep and you have other go symptoms then you may be experiencing a side effect of the post Lipo medications. If the sensation is more superficial and you stopped draining tumescent solution earlier than you physician estimated then you may have retention of the tumescent fluid combined with post inflammatory fluid collection. The key to this trouble is to downsize your compression garment when the first is not doing the job and seek opinion from your surgeon and also consider requesting help from a lymphatic massage specialist. Hope this finds you well.
Hi there, and congratulations on your Smartlipo treatment! Swelling, bloating and temporary tightness are all common side effects after getting Smartlipo and they should dissipate on their own over the next few days and weeks. That said, if the bloating you’re experiencing seems severe or is causing pain, it’s best to check in with your cosmetic surgeon to make sure there aren’t any underlying complications that could be causing this. You can also ask him or her about wearing a compression garment, which should help to reduce swelling.
I don't recall hearing this complaint before. it is normal to get some swelling. I would also make sure that you have had a bowel movement (narcotics can cause constipation) and that may make you feel bloated. I am sure it is not serious and should resolve.david berman md
