I'm 5'4", 120 lbs with a localized love handle problem. Medispa advise I bundle 4 Vanquish sessions with Exilis to maximize benefit (4 Vanquish sessions plus 4 Exilis sessions for $2850). Is this the wise thing to do or am I merely being oversold? Other posts have only mentioned using one of these two technologies.
Answer: Vanquish Candidate--add Coolsculpting, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra, VASER HI DE Vanquish is good for permanently removing stubborn areas of fat and providing mild skin tightening, but needs a combination approach to get the most improvement. I recommend combining Vanquish with Venus Legacy/Exilis Ultra treatments. We currently use a fire and ice treatment with Coolsculpting and Vanquish for good results in fat removal. However, a VASER hi definition procedure would give you the best results for shaping. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Combination treatments encouraged Hello there! To see the most improvement, we always recommend combination treatments for body contouring. We have had awesome success in our practice with Vanquish/Exilis/Cellutone in conjunction. Cellutone would be done first to increase blood flow to the area. Vanquish would be next to heat up the tissue and start melting fat. Exilis can follow to further melt fat/tighten skin. Cellutone would then finish off the treatment to increase the amount of fat destroyed, and speed up the healing process. That being said, you appear to have good skin quality, so the use of Vanquish and Cellutone without Exilis would be alright for you. You should still get a nice improvement in the area that concerns you. I would not recommend doing Vanquish without Cellutone, however. Cellutone virtually eliminates any risk to the procedure, and greatly increases your results/speeds up your recovery. Cheers! Sarah RN BSN

Answer: Vanquish ME with Exilis? Vanquish ME is a radiofrequency treatment that specifically is tuned the abolish the fat cell (scientifically called apoptosis). Ther is a small effect on the skin but the main target is the fat. Exilis Ultra 360 is a radiofrequency treatment from the same company, BTL, that reduces some of the fat but mainly targets the skin. In my practice I use Vanquish to reduce fat in the bulkiest areas and I use Exilis to tighten loose skin. For patients who have both I will often alternate Vanquish ME and Exilis Ultra 360 for a total of 6 treatments to obtain the best results.

Answer: Vanquish Me with Exelis Thank you for your question. Many offices will add treatments such as an RF treatment (Exilis or Venus Legacy) and acoustic wave therapy to enhance the results of Vanquish Me. There is a clinical study which shows improvement with acoustic wave therapy but I have not seen a well designed study where the RF devices are added. Since Vanquish Me is an RF device which specifically targets the fat cells, intuitively it would make sense that the addition of an RF treatment with Exilis or Venus Legacy may enhance the results. I have seen some very impressive results with these combinations but there is not a control to compare the results without the addition of the second RF device.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
