Best filler for sunken cheeks?

Question

I had previously been taking testosterone shots and stopped about 2 years ago after reading possible heart health risks. After stopping the shots I lost volume in my face within about 3 months. I had a mini lift to tighten up my skin and I'm pretty pleased with results of that but I'd like to do a filler to fill cheeks back out. I thought maybe sculptra but the whole lump thing has me concerned. Looking for recommendations thanks

A combination approach would give the most improvement. Deep wrinkles and smile lines can be improved with a combination of Botox and/or fillers for the lines themselves and to build anatomical support with Sculptra for collagen building. Ultherapy is a great skin tightening device, but works best in combination with other treatments like J Plasma, RF treatments, lasers, microneedling/PRP, salt facials, Cosmelan for skin tightening and improve skin tone. Thank you for your question. There are many options. currently, Voluma and Radiesse are popular midfacial fillers. If you like the look, I would convert to malar implants.

LP,There are various fillers that would be suitable to fill the cheeks. It is important to determine whether you are seeing volume loss within the cheek itself and in what portion of the cheek (upper vs mid vs lateral.) Sometimes, volume is needed at the junction between the cheek and eye region. For true cheek enhancement Voluma, Restylane Defyne, and Radiesse all are suitable choices (in addition to Sculptra.) These fillers would not be used if the volume loss is seen at the cheek / eye junction where Restylane L or Belotero is preferred. Hope this helps,Hardik Doshi, M.D.

Hello and thank you for your question. Sunken cheeks are typically the result of volume loss and skin laxity, causing the fat pads of the cheeks to drop downward slightly. Volume loss can be easily corrected using dermal fillers, although which product is right for each patient will vary. Hi lp1012,I would still recommend Sculptra. We've never had the lump in all the years we used Sculptra. It works by inducing collagen growth over time and would complement a Threadlift.
