Mild Glycolic peel 5 weeks ago: my skin is a shade darker and dull and glowless.

Question

I got a mild glycolic peel done by dermatologist a month back and i dint see any noticeable peeling for a week though i was feeling extremely dry but i kept applying the creams and sunscreens prescribed by my dermatologist whole day through. My skin became very dark and glowless after a week. I waited hoping it to get better, now the darkness is not that intense but is still face skin is a shade darker, dull and absolutely glowless. Will it recover or remain same or can anything be done.?

Hi thanks for your query.Well it is normal to have some pigmentory changes after a chemical peel because it tends to bring up the under lying photodamaged changes to be visible .It is advisible post peel to use only mild cleanser ,sunscreen with spf 30 is a must.However to speak to your provider about spacing the peel session.
