Hi:Unfortunately without photo and X-ray of the remaining teeth it is difficult to give you accurate advice. Please post photo and X-ray of the entire mouth.Best,Dr. Maddahi
General base figure, Upper All On Six and Lower All On Four @$50k+-. Will be higher in Metro areas, maybe less in the suburbs and geographic areas of the country varies, Alabama is closer to $40k as in my office, NYC & California, Atlanta may be higher etc. Very General.
The answer to your question will depend on many factors. Do you need teeth extracted, do you have sufficient bone or do you need bone grafting, will you need a sinus lift in the maxillary arch with bone grafting to create a bone to allow placement of implants? What type of final restoration are you envisioning? You can have 2 to 4 implants placed in each arch and have removable implant retained dentures that snap into the implants. Or you could have 4 to 6 implants per arch and have porcelain teeth that are screwed into the implants and fixed, not removable. Or you could have many implants placed, one for each tooth missing and have single teeth replacements for all of your teeth. The cost for the range of these services can be anywhere from a low of $10,000 up to a high of $100,000 for both arches. It is best to start with a consultation which would include a 3-D CT scan. Then discuss which option you would prefer and the associated costs. Then you will be able to make an informed decision.
SNAPINDENTURES OR ALL ON4 , BY NOBEL BIOCARE. There are 2 ways of restoring this , the first one could be with Snapindentures, with 8 minimplants, upper and 8 minimplants lower, you will have a strong support with snapindentures, and you will have a great result within a couple of days, shape size and even color, you will have that smile you always wanted back with a great confort and support. All on 4 By Nobel Biocare, its the best way to go if what you want is a screw retained bar, that you do not remove , also you will have a strong solution, extractions (if you need them) and immediate setting of implants are done at the same proceedure, and within acouple of days, you will be able to enjoy, a great smile , with strenght and confort, that smile you always wanted, this is the moment, shape, size and even color, you will be able to change. But yes, you have asolution!
Howdy no1texan, Used to live in the Lone Star state myself many years ago. Sure do miss you Texans. Your question regarding cost of implants is not straight forward. The implant process includes several steps which are not always necessary and when necessary involve varying degrees of difficulty and expertise. Essentially the complete process begins with an extraction of a tooth. At the time of extraction typically a bone graft material is placed in the extraction site to preserve bone. You need a certain amount and quality of bone to successfully support an implant. Sometimes with upper teeth an additional graft procedure is needed to extend up into the sinus which would be a separate fee. After the bone heals and assuming there is enough bone, then a titanium 'fixture' is inserted into the bone and allowed to heal, usually 3-6 months though some more adventurous dentists will place a provisional crown on the fixture at time of placement. Then after the implant integrates to the bone a restorative dentist will place an 'abutment' to the fixture which protrudes through the gums and becomes the foundation upon which a crown can be manufactured and placed. Lots of steps here, and I don't have enough information to know which ones you need. However skipping the extraction and grafting steps and assuming that you have enough bone, then an implant fixture, abutment and crown should cost between $5000 and $8000 for a single tooth. For full upper and lower implant supported teeth assuming you have none of your original teeth left, then the fee is going to be around $25,000 per arch give or take $35,000 depending upon where you get treated. There are places that will do them cheaper, and others that will bill more. I recommend to my patients to see whoever is best regardless of cost as this is something you do not want to do twice. Hope this helps. Dr. Neal
Hello! Without x-rays it is difficult to determine if your implant placement could be done in one visit. Is there an infection? Does a tooth need to be extracted? Is there significant bone loss? Any of these would require your surgery be done in two parts...
HI:Most likely it will not show up on the X-ray. However, if the crown is loose but the implant is ok on the implant most likely it is the abutment screw.Best,Dr. Maddahi
It sounds like the abutment screw has loosened and this is the cause for the wobble. The reason you are able to move it to a position where it feels stable again is because the abutment has a hex shaped end that fits inside the top of the implant. It fits down in the top of the implant like this...
Dear Isabel111, No, you should not still be having pain this long after implant placement. Get back to the oral surgeon immediately. Dr. Neal
Without an x-ray and photo it's difficult to give accurate advice. We usually recommend getting an implant first and then move on to straightening your teeth. That way when your treatment is complete and your teeth are in the place they're going to stay, we could then take a mold to fabricate...
You should go to your dentist immediately and see if the crown and screw are intact. If so, the crown can be placed back into its proper position, the screw tightened and then torqued to 32 or 35 n cm. If this crew has broken, it will need to be...
