I had an implant placed (#20). The first few days I had some pain and it seemed to get better. Most of the pain was stabbing pain in the left TMJ. Day 7-10, the pain is stabbing and it spreads from the implant site to the TMJ. The implant site is not swollen, but the left sublingual fold is swollen. It was most notably swollen and very painful day after the surgery. When I saw the oral surgeon 6 days after, I was told to continue the antibiotic for another week. What's going on? Thanks.
