I had braces in the past. Teeth have moved. I have a gaps on both sides behind k9’s. The proportions of my teeth look off & crooked 2 me. My dentist tells me not to get veneers or caps bc I have quality teeth and they are high mantinence. I went to 4 DR.s about Invisalign. All the doctors told me Invisalign would not achieve the Hollywood smile I want. What would be a good option for me? Are veneers/caps bad? Would they be stupid to do? How long do they last? Would I get a good result?

Answer: Minimal-Prep and No-Prep Veneers Options for Improving Smile With Healthy Teeth You could use a combination of Minimal-Prep and No-Prep Veneers to achieve the results you're looking for. It looks like your 2 front teeth are canted sightly. From the photo they look like they may be a decent color/brightness. The side front teeth (your laterals) look to be set back a bit and look a bit darker. There is significant wear on your canines, and they have gaps behind them.Porcelain veneers (on 8 or 10 teeth) would fix all of these thing -- I would shoot for minimal prep on the 2 front teeth, no prep on the laterals, and minimal prep on the canines and premolars. I would analyze your bite to discover where the forces are causing the wear and the gaps, and I would redistribute your bite forces to eliminate the heavy forces causing those things.Another approach could be to do no-prep veneers on your laterals, repair the wear on your canines with bonding (and use bonding to try to correct the forces), and use bonding to close the gaps. Try to reshape your front 2 teeth to reduce the appearance of the cant. This would not offer a super dramatic change/result, but would give you a nice esthetic result.

Answer: Hollywood smile Hi:I definitley understand your dentists concern, however, if you want Hollywood smile, your only choice would be at least 10 uppe veneers and either whitening or 10 lower veneers. You do not need crowns. The main reason why veneers get replaced are as follow:1. Gum recession, root of the tooth is showing2. Chipping 3. Cavity where the veneer meets the tooth.Best,Dr. Maddahi
