Numbing cream works for most patients. However, if further pain relief is needed, I will do nerve blocks or local anesthesia to the face. The tiny needles do sting, but the the pain is tolerable. Since I have had it done, and my pain tolerance is average, most patients are just fine with the cream alone.
Infini RF microneedling is a great option for skin tightening, addressing fine wrinkles and smoothing acne scars. In our practice, we apply a specific, very potent numbing cream that remains on the skin for 1 hour prior to Infini treatment. We also use a Zimmer cooler that blows cold air during treatment. For very sensitive areas, such as the upper lip, we often use injectable numbing in addition. For off-face Infini treatment (neck, hands, arms, etc) topical numbing cream is generally sufficient. In patients who feel anxious about the procedure, we offer Valium prior to treatment.
Yes, discomfort can be controlled with just topical numbing cream. While the infini is a popular treatment, I prefer Intensif, because the needles are non-insulated and give more robust results. I also combine microneedling with prp and lasers to get the best results. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer
Most of my patients tolerate the procedure with just topical (high strength) numbing creams. If there is a desire for further comfort, the "superficial skin block" that I have popularized, seems to cut the discomfort down to a 2-3. This places a small amount of lidocaine throughout the face, just into the skin. It is a 3 minute procedure and is much better tolerated than nerve blocks.
I always supplement with nerve blocks, and in big cases will do this under partial sedation. INFINI is painful, the question is how to manage pain levels. Patient comfort is extremely important! Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
Your skin looks better to me but you still have active acne that needs treatment. I suggest a combination approach of microneedling RF combined with erbium or microneedling/PRP. you will need more than 2 treatments to get improvements and will need at least 2-3 times a year as maintenance fo...
This is difficult to answer without pictures and requires an in-person evaluation. Infini is a popular treatment, but I prefer Intensif because it uses non-insulated needles and provides more robust results. Keep in mind, acne scarring requires a combination approach with microneedling with...
There are many options to help rejuvenate your aging face. At 48, you are begining to show the signs of facial aging- the appearance of jowls, the atrophy around the eyes with a tear trough deformity and mild eyelid bags. The neck is falling with excess skin. You have to decide...
I believe the best interval for treatments is 4 to 6 weeks. Collagen formation is stimulated with each treatment and the faster one repeats the treatment, the better the result. The collage or fibroblasts are stimulated to give a better result. There is no scientific data for this, but this is...
