Should I do V Beam for facial redness or seek alternative solutions (i.e. creams, ointments, natural remedies)?

As an Indian person (darker skin tone), I have had facial redness for a while ever since I used topical creams that had an adverse reaction. I was told by my dermatologist that Vbeam on low setting would be effective, especially given my skin tone. I've seen alot of things on this website that have made me warry of doing the treatment, although my doctor ensures it will be fine. They even did a test patch on my arm and it went fine. Should I just try it out? Or are there other alternatives?
