Is SMP appropriate to locally camouflage hair loss from DLE (scarring alopecia)? (photos)

Question

I am looking to conceal approximately five coin sized patches of hair loss cause by DLE. Is SMP appropriately used in each local area to conceal? I currently use hair fibres on a daily basis and it is quite effective, but is messy and is ineffective in the water (swimming etc). Furthermore, my DLE is in a very slow progression. There is a possible eventuality that I would end up with a full shaved head appearance. If I do a local treatment now, will a full head be possible later if required?

Scalp Micropigmentation can be used to disguise patchy hair loss from scarring alopecia.  Keep in mind that SMP is basically a tattoo so if you keep your hair very short, the area where there is no hair may show.

jakeman33,SMP can be used to conceal areas of scarring from scarring alopecia and other causes of scalp scaring.I like the use of an organic ink to perform the smp. Certainly, if there is progression of the scarring alopecia these new areas of scarring can be treated to conceal the new areas.Sincerely,Bernardino A. Arocha, MD

We have used SMP in a variety of autoimmune hair loss condition like SLE, Alopecia areata, Alopecia Totalis, scarring Slopecia, etc.. It works well. I would need more pictures of your to determine if you are a candidate for this. See the entire website shown below
