Is SMP appropriate to locally camouflage hair loss from DLE (scarring alopecia)? (photos)

I am looking to conceal approximately five coin sized patches of hair loss cause by DLE. Is SMP appropriately used in each local area to conceal? I currently use hair fibres on a daily basis and it is quite effective, but is messy and is ineffective in the water (swimming etc). Furthermore, my DLE is in a very slow progression. There is a possible eventuality that I would end up with a full shaved head appearance. If I do a local treatment now, will a full head be possible later if required?

SMP pigment can go down up to 5mm and if you mesotherpy goes down to the same depth, there can be potential isues.

SMP or Scalp MicroPigmentation is basically a tattoo. Treat it as you would a tattoo. Shampoos and creams should not be an issue.

If you believe you have a fungal infection, you need to see a doctor. It may also be blotches from SMP. No way to tell with photos.

No it is a non-surgical procedure, but SMP is performed by hair restoration surgeons and staff who are specially trained in a clinical setting where other types of hair restoration procedures are performed, many of which are surgical procedures.

SMP when offered by non-doctors, fall under the same regulation as tattoo shops.  SMP clinics need a license by the city.  SMP employees need a cosmetology license.
