Right now, you are very early on in the
post op recovery period. It will take 3-6 months for you to feel comfortable
having implants in your body and for them to settle. This time allows for you
to physically and psychologically adapt to your new body image. There are many
variables that contribute to a breast augmentation's final result. Preop size
and shape, IMF location, location of the implants and type of implant. Patients
heal at different rates and each breast will sometimes heal at a different
rate. Rest, relax, recover and heal. Please Express your concerns to your surgeon so
he/she can examine you. Then reassess final result at 6 months.



The best way to assess and give true
advice would be an in-person exam.

I can't give you any specific odds, but your implants will change daily over the next 3-6 months as your breasts heal and drop/settle into their final position. So, there is a very good chance that this will resolve on it's own. Don't worry or stress over it. Just be patient and kind to yourself as your body recovers -- Dr. Nazarian

Rippling with implants can occur but usually if the implant is under the muscle it is less common. You are still very early out from surgery so things will change over the next few months as the implants settle. This may help the rippling become less noticeable.  Don't stress out too much now as things will change as your healing progresses. Make sure you keep your follow up appointments with your surgeon 

Congratulations on your recent breast augmentation.As the implants settle in the pockets, overall shape will improve; you may not "feel" the implant as much.Please allow 3-6 months for the final outcome of the surgery to occur.Good luck with your recovery.

It is important to have an in-person medical assessment regarding this issue as it is difficult to determine virtually. Continue to update your doctor in the matter and follow their post-op protocol.
It is important to get cleared by your doctor before engaging in specific physical activity before the 3 month healing period has ended as the healing stage is crucial for healthy results.
It generally takes around 6 months to a year to see your final results. Your tissues will take time to relax and allow your implants to "Drop and Fluff" settling into place. Should a revision cross your mind, it is best to wait at least 6 months to a year before doing so.
Our tips for recovery following breast augmentation are to wear a supportive sports bra for 3 months post-operative and refrain from lifting anything heavier than 10 lbs for 3 weeks as we don't want any strain at your incision sites. Make sure to keep the area of your stitches clean by cleansing with hydrogen peroxide daily. Showering is encouraged! But, no sitting in water for 2 weeks following surgery (no baths, hot tubs, pools etc.).

Thank you for your clinical post. During the early post-operative phase judging
shape, form, structure, feel and appearance of your breast augmentation is
difficult as soft tissue is always settling.
The implants will settle into the pocket over the first 12 weeks. The implants will have more mobility,
however, palpable edges of the implants especially in thinner patients are
almost always possible. The edges of
these cohesive gel implants can feel corrugated or rippled and palpable ripples
may be a long-term reality. Visible
ripples either passively or dynamic when moving are far more uncommon and there
are procedures that can be performed to help correct this. At this point it is very early and follow
your breast surgeon’s instructions and voice your concerns about the palpable
edges of the implant rippling as they are in the best position to reassure you
and provide any correction if needed.

In general, most patients are very
happy at 6 weeks following their breast augment procedure and I’m sure you can
achieve an excellent result.
