Is it silly to ask your cosmetic surgeon for a doctor's note for school?

Nope, its not silly at all. Im sure you wont be able to get the test after your rino, you should definitely wait at least a couple of days. You can ask for the note to your doctor, with no problems.

Hi, no, it's not silly at all. In fact, I recommend you get a doctor's note to take the test at a later date. You definitely need to plan on taking it easy for a few days at least immediately following your surgery as your face may feel puffy and your nose will hurt and feel congested. You'll most likely have pain medication to help with this, but the meds could also have adverse side effects. Be sure to speak to your plastic surgeon about these or any other concerns you might have about your procedure. Don't hesitate to ask them about your recovery and any post-operative guidelines they may have as these will be important to follow.

Successful surgical outcomes start with establishing a transparent patient physician relationship with your surgeon. Your surgeon wants what is best for you. I don't know of anyone who could sit for any examination the day after having a rhinoplasty. I would ask their patient coordinator for the note. An experienced surgeon has written thousands of these. Your school only needs to know that you had surgery. Not the nature of the procedure.

I think this is a reasonable request. I don't think it's silly at all. The letter doesn't have to say that you had a cosmetic rhinoplasty.
