Are these results achievable through alarplasty? (photo)

Question

Hello, I'm not that interested in changing my entire nose, but am interested in reducing my nostril size/flare. I warped the original photo on photoshop, i only moved the nostril flaps down. Is this a possibly achievable look? My nose got wider and flared after double jaw surgery.

Thank you for your question. Yes, an alarplasty can reduce the size of your nostrils to create a more balanced appearance to your nose. I suggest that you consult with board certified facial plastic surgeon to make sure you are a candidate for the procedure.

It appears that your manipulation included narrowing of nostrils and nose base? This is something that can be achieved with manipulation of allar base and nostril sill and can be done in local anesthesia. However, in person consultation with  a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in nose surgery is recommended. Good luck.

Alar reduction may be performed alone or at same time as rhinoplasty. Using 3D imaging you can get a good idea of possible result from Alar reduction. However there may be visible scar on the groove depending on the procedure and amount of reduction required.
