Subcision, which has been around and I have been routinely performing, is an excellent, simple, safe and effective technique for elevating and smoothing all kinds of indented (depressed, atrophic) scars, most especially boxcar and rolling scars. It can be performed with or without filler. Finding an experienced doctor may be harder with extensive experience with this technique, since subcision has been pushed aside by the intense marketing for all kinds of expensive, faddish, "bells and whistles" fraxel lasers and RF devices.
