Acne scars are usually characterized within the subtypes of atrophic, hypertrophic, pigmented, or inflammatory. Subcision is an excellent treatment for some acne scars and definitely has a role in some cases. It appears as though you have some older scars as well as evidence of the recent outbreak that you mentioned. I would definitely try to get better control of the acne outbreaks prior to addressing the scarring and allow a longer period of maturation of the scars prior to implementing an invasive procedure such as subcision. The two mentioned modalities that have been suggested to you definitely have a role and should improve your cosmetic appearance.
